I have never seen this movie before, but the music sounds like it is from a Friday the 13th scene.

A wholesome fairytale for all ages!

I couldn't sleep after seeing this for the first time. It grabs you on a deep psychological level. The special effects are subtle but powerful (no buckets of blood needed). My all-time favorite horror film. A classic Gothic thriller. "No one will come here, in the night, in the dark....at least no one you'd want to know (the caretaker's wife).👍

Definitely my all time favorite slasher movie, Danny Hicks does such a good job, hes absolutely terrifying in this movie, and man the gore is so so well done, especially the bandsaw scene is amazing!

Fun fact: The movie was actually filmed in 1985 yet, had trouble finding a distributor, was not released until 1987.

Not gonna lie this sounds like the Exorcist but by way of John Carpenter, that's not a bad thing just an observation.

The Burning may not be a Horror Movie of all time because unfortunately nobody ever heard of it. but it’s sure as hell a good Slasher Horror film from the early 80s
